11月15日这周，上海宏润博源学校的同学们将走出教室，走进上海这座充满魅力的城市，开展一系列基于课题项目的探究式学习。今年是我们建设上海项目开展的第二年，主题是“可持续性”上海——这也是应对全球气候危机，实现未来持续繁荣必须要做的课题。

During the week of 15 November, SHBS students will embark on a range of intensive inquiry- and project-based learning programs that take them out of traditional classrooms and into the amazing city they call home. For this second year of Building Shanghai, the program theme is sustainability what’s required to confront our global climate emergency to continue thriving in the future.

Every group will explore an essential aspect of Shanghai’s economy and culture, with a focus on how innovation, conservation, and adaptation can address pressing environmental concerns—with topics including Ecological Diversity, Sustainable Fashion, Modern Agriculture and Organic Agriculture, Green Energy, The Fate of Garbage, Hospitality and Tourism, Environmental Ethics of Art, and The Cost of Money: can e-currency be green？

每个小组都会调研上海经济和文化的一个重要方面，专注于探索 “创新，节约和适应力” 如何能够帮助解决当下紧迫的环境问题，涉及到的话题包含生态多样性，可持续性时尚，现代农业与有机农业，新能源，垃圾的命运，酒店与旅游业，编织艺术的环保理念探索，货币的成本等。

在此过程中，同学们将深入了解当地和全球的社会和经济力量是如何相互作用并塑造他们所生活的世界的。他们将做调研，参观企业，与来自上海和世界各地的学者和专业人士对话，向从事不同工作的人们提问，以便更好地理解他们在学校的学习与现实世界存在的挑战之间的关联。

Students will understand how social and economic forces, both local and global, interact to shape the world in which they live. They’ll do research, visit businesses, and speak with scholars and professionals from Shanghai and around the world—asking questions of people engaged in a wide range of work to better understand how their learning in school can connect to real-world challenges.

在调查研究的过程中，同学们会不断拓展自己的意义和愿景边界，并通过自己的探究来为社区呈现一场生动的展示, 所有这些努力共同回答一个问题：为了建设“可持续性”上海，我们需要做些什么？

Students will develop their own purpose and vision and use their inquiries to create a dynamic presentation to the SHBS community, which, collectively, answer the question of what’s needed to sustain the continuation of “Building Shanghai.”

在此，我们诚挚地邀请您来参加我们11月15日下午4点的建设上海项目的启动仪式。届时，上海市教育科学研究院民办教育研究所（终身教育研究所）所长董圣足先生将莅临我校致开幕词，并进行“可持续教育”的主题演讲。欢迎扫码预约。 Hereby, we would like to invite you to the opening ceremony of our Building Shanghai project this year, during which Mr. Dong Shengzu, director of the Private Education Research Institute (Lifelong Education Research Institute) of Shanghai Educational Science Research Institute, will deliver a speech on Sustainable Education. 此外，我们也诚挚地邀请您参加我们最后一天的项目展示活动。您可以参观我们任意一组同学的展位。能与您分享他们在这一周里的学习和收获，同学们会非常开心。在这天，负责可持续时尚的小组也会组织一个旧衣服以及其它饰品的交换市场，旨在鼓励更多的人了解并加入旧物品“交换文化”， 唤起人们的环保消费理念。当天，也欢迎您带来一些别人或许会需要的闲置物品参与交换，既可以一定程度满足您的需求，也为环保贡献了力量。

Hereby, we also would like to invite you to the final dynamic presentation and exhibition of all our thirteen groups. You can check the booth of each group and the students will be very excited to share with you what they find and learn in this Building Shanghai week. On that day, the Sustainable Fashion group will also organize a sustainable market, where you can bring your old garments or other knickknacks that you don’t need any more but might be valuable for others and swap with others to diversify your closet but protect the environment at the same time.
