The sunny autumn afternoon of Oct.29th saw the exceptional 2021 Fun Sports Meet of SHTCS. 

10月29日下午，在秋日暖阳中，高藤2021趣味运动会圆满举行。 

With the theme of ‘Pursuing dreams in the fire of youth’, a variety of fun competitions were held. Savoring in the spirit of sportsmanship and the charm of sports, students and teachers spent a wonderful happy afternoon. 

 以“青春似火，逐梦扬威”为主题，各项趣味比赛嗨翻现场，师生们感受拼搏的精神，满载运动的快乐，度过了一个尽兴的下午。

        

Opening ceremony and march-in

开幕及入场仪式  

Principal Li gave a warm opening speech, encouraging students to display their creativity and enthusiasm in school activities and show their team spirit. Following that, Lan, president of the Student Union, announced the beginning of Fun Sports Meet. Accompanied by hand-picked unique cheerful music, each class marched onto the field one after another. Catherine, from US Program, presented a lovely dance performance as the opening act.

李校做了开幕致辞，鼓励同学们在活动中发挥创意与热情，在运动中展现团队风貌。随后学生会主席张澜月同学宣布运动会正式开始。伴随着独特而动感的出场音乐，各班依次入场。来自美高班的李姝凝带来精彩的开场舞表演。

The games are dominated by team-based events that test the tacit understanding and cooperation of students. Classes competed in pairs, with the winning team advancing to the next round.

本次趣味运动会以团体赛为主，考察各班同学的默契与合作。各比赛班级两两对决，获胜队伍进入下一轮。

         

Kangaroo Jump Relay 袋鼠接力跳

In this event, participants put on a burlap bag and jumped on both feet, just like cute kangaroos.

第一个比赛项目即为可可爱爱的袋鼠接力跳，参赛者需要套上麻布袋，双脚并足跳。

Caterpillar Dash 毛毛虫赛跑

Involving lots of teamwork skills, this is also a very fun but difficult game. Four students in the same class are required to ride on a ‘caterpillar’ and move forward collectively to the finishing line. It was exciting and entertaining at the same time, full of fun and laughter.

这也是一个非常好玩又考验默契的比赛项目，4位同学“骑上”一只毛毛虫同时冲向终点，紧张刺激的同时又充满欢乐爆笑。

Shooting Relay 投篮接力  

Next came ‘Set Shoot Relay’, which brought about the first round of climax of game site. Formed in teams of three, player representatives from each class shoot successively within one minute; winner goes to the team with higher scores.

接下来的定点投篮接力带来比赛现场的第一轮小高潮。各班由3人小分队出战，一分钟相继定点投篮，最终进球多者晋级。

The two teams of grade 11 and grade 12 both broke their own records and tied with each other more than once. The competition became white-hot at one time, all the students around staring at the basket and cheering for their class team.

11和12年级的两只小分队屡次打破自己的记录，屡次与对方打成平手，比赛一度进入白热化阶段，周围同学都目不转睛地盯着篮筐，为班级队伍呐喊助威。

Leaping, lunging, hands-dropping...camera captured your handsome moves and the intense moments.

  纵身，跃起，脱手，镜头记录下你们帅气的动作和全情投入的紧张一刻。

 

                 

Net fishing 撒网捕鱼  

In the following race, five participants joined hands to form a net and catch the opposing team players acting as little fish. In fact, the game was so fun that our teachers couldn’t help wanting to joining in - an exhibition game between teachers and students was on! 

在“撒网捕鱼”比赛中，五位参赛者手连手形成渔网，抓住对方扮演小鱼的队员。好玩的游戏让老师们也忍不住想要参与，现场上演“师生对决表演赛”。

       

Four-legged Race 三人四足  

Hard as they tried, some teams were wriggling like worms, losing the game but harvesting much laughter from the audience.

在这轮游戏中，有的队伍尽管想要全力以赴，却只能“蠕动前行”，输了比赛，却收获了无数笑声。

Intellectual tug of war 智力拔河  

According to a ‘size-up’ of the situation, both sides allocate players to three ropes, and play tug-of-war at the same time upon whistle. With the right ‘allocation strategy’, it is possible for the team to obtain more chance of wining, thus called ‘the intellectual tug of war’.

双方根据对形势的预判，分配队员站在三根绳子后面，哨响同时拔河；如果用人的“计策”得当，则有可能为本队争取更多赢面，因此叫“智力拔河”。

At the sound of whistle, all participating students strove for their best grabbing and pulling the rope. Several students were still clenching even after they were thrown to the ground. The spirit of never giving up was infectious as all surrounding students cheered for them from the sideline, push the event to a final climax. 

哨声一响，所有参赛同学都卯足了劲抓住绳子，几位同学即使被摔倒在地仍紧握不放，不服输的精神感染周边同学也为他们揪紧了心，在一旁不断加油助威，再次将活动推向了高潮。

Half-time Show 中场表演  

In addition to a wide array of fun-filled activities, there are also wonderful performances, such as ‘theater scenes of buying a watermelon’ brought by G10 and chorus of teachers and students brought by music club.

除了趣味满满的运动项目外，现场还有精彩的表演节目，比如G10带来的“买瓜小剧场”，音乐社带来的师生合唱。

The Sports Meet ended with an exhilarating atmosphere. Congratulations to the proud champion - G11 students, runner-up ( G9 and German Program students) and second runner-up (G10). And cheers for all of you who did a fantastic job during the fun sports game, who not only demonstrated the enthusiasm of youth, but brilliant teamwork and sportsmanship. 

最终运动会在激动的氛围中圆满结束。恭喜G11“如影随形的小跟班”获得本次秋季运动会冠军，“摸鱼小众队”和G10的“猴子山”分别摘得亚军和季军。为所有本次趣味运动会的参赛选手欢呼，你们展现了青春如火的热情，展示了非凡的团队精神和体育精神。
