It is pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2017-2018 school year, one that I hope will be full of success for everyone.  A special welcome to all of our new students and staff joining us for the first time – We are excited to have you here as part of the Aidi family, and look forward to helping you grow and reach your potential!

我们即将步入充满喜悦和希望的2017-2018新学年，希望对于每个人而言，这一年都能够是成果丰硕的一年。今年我们又迎来众多新同学和新同事加入爱迪——我对你们表达诚挚的欢迎，希望爱迪大家庭能够为你们发掘潜力，施展才华提供一个优质的平台。

The new school year is a very special time for both students and staff.  For students, after an enjoyable summer break, the new school year is full of intrigue and excitement, as they start a fresh journey with new and exciting things to discover and learn.  For all of our Aidi students, I would like to offer you a little piece of advice to help you make the best start possible - start the new school year with confidence, passion and determination!  With the right attitude, you’ll discover that success will find you quickly and you’ll be able to accomplish amazing things! As always, your teachers and all the Aidi staff will be here to help and support you every step of the way.

在一个放松愉快的暑假之后，新学期的开始是很令人激动而兴奋的。对于学生而言，他们即将继续开启发现和探索之旅，在校园里汲取知识的营养。对于爱迪学生，在新学期开始之际，我期待你们能用充分的自信、饱满的热情和坚毅的信念，为新学年塑造一个完美的开端。用一个积极的心态去面对每件事情，你会发现成功指日可待，你会取得让人赞叹的成就。一如既往的，你的老师和爱迪学校的所有教职员工，都会在每一件事上为你提供鼎力支持。

As we head into autumn, and the weather starts to cool, the year 12 students in our Australian WACE program will begin their preparations for their final exams, which are the culmination of many years of hard work and the key to their university futures. Each and every year Aidi’s students produce outstanding, class-leading results in the Y12 WACE exams, and I have the utmost confidence that this year’s Y12 cohort will once again produce astonishing results.  From myself and all the staff at Aidi, we wish good luck to each and every one of you!

进入秋季学期，澳洲高中的又一届毕业生们将迎来他们的WACE国际大学录取考试，作为多年的学习成果的检验，也是他们开启世界大学的敲门砖。每年爱迪学校澳洲高中12年级的毕业生都会在国际高考中出类拔萃，夺得头筹。我相信今年的澳洲高中毕业生大军也同样会斩获骄人的成绩。全体爱迪人都期待你们有一个好的表现。

One of the highlights of my work here at Aidi, and something that I enjoy very much, is the opportunity to see the diverse range of talents possessed by our students.  This is a testament to our extensive and wide-ranging extra-curricular system, which allows our students to both discover new, and develop existing, talents. Being invited to fantastic drama productions, beautiful displays of dancing and singing, art displays, presentations, sports competitions, debates and all manner of shows and performances is a wonderful privilege and makes me feel very fortunate to be part of the Aidi education system.  One of the best performances I saw in the 2016-2017 school year was our variety show at Beijing’s famous Poly theatre, where we put on an amazing and heartfelt charity event, spreading the love from Aidi to help the less fortunate. It genuinely puts a smile on my face to think back to those amazing events and I look forward to being amazed again in the new school year!  

对于我个人而言，非常有幸作为我工作的一部分，我可以有机会见识我们的学生在不同的活动中，展现出各种各样卓越的才能。这也是对于爱迪一直致力于通过各种课外延展项目和兴趣课程，帮助学生们发掘、培养潜能的努力成果的最好见证。在上一学年中，我非常荣幸地被邀请观赏了各种各样的表演和活动：从戏剧、歌舞、演说、辩论、艺术展到体育竞赛。最令人难忘的是我们在保利剧院上演的温暖人心的公益音乐会，把爱迪学校的关爱传递给需要帮助的人们，这让我由衷地为我们的学生感到欣慰，我也期待在新的学年还会有更多这样精彩的活动。

The 2017-2018 school year looks to be another exciting year at school, with new courses and subjects available, and new facilities being added.  I look forward to another enjoyable year of enlightenment, success and achievement!

2017-2018学年将会是令人兴奋的一年，学校增设了新的课程与专业可供选择，并更新升级了设施设备，为同学们创造一个更好的学习环境。让我们一起迎接一个开启智慧、收获成功的新学年！
