又到国际文凭大学预科（IB）放榜时！我们欣然与您分享来自香港耀中、上海耀中、北京耀中、重庆耀中和青岛耀中五个校区的喜讯。

我们深信“有教无类”、“因材施教”，全员参加IB考试亦是我们延续多年的传统。不凡的学业成就值得庆贺，而疫情阴霾下，学生们克服种种困难，追求卓越的学术品质更令我们欣赏和骄傲。

As this year’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme results come in, we're delighted to share encouraging news from our five campuses — YCIS Hong Kong, YCIS Shanghai, YCIS Beijing, YCIS Chongqing and YCIS Qingdao.

"Teaching for all" has long been a YCIS tradition for which all students are encouraged to take the IB examinations.

This was the clearest indication yet that the pandemic failed to dent academic progress. Our students took it all in their stride and forged on to do remarkably well.

今年，香港耀中81名考生中，诞生2名满分状元、3名44分榜眼、9名43分探花，共有34名学生考获40分或以上，占比达到42%。

值得一提的是，香港耀中今年有53名同学（占比65%）获得了IB双语文凭，这再次印证了耀中学子具备卓越的双语能力和跨文化理解能力。（注：IB双语文凭意味着学生选择的两种语言都为第一语言考卷。在耀中，双语指的是中英文。全球每年约仅有24%的学生考获双语文凭。）

Out of 81 candidates who sat for the exam at YCIS Hong Kong, two scored full marks, three scored 44 marks, nine achieved 43 marks and as many as 34 students scored 40 marks or above.

53 students from YCIS Hong Kong (or 65% of the total) received an IB Bilingual Diploma.

This was another demonstration of the school’s bilingual learning and work on improving cross-cultural understanding and the building of East-West bridges.（Note: IB Bilingual Diploma means that both languages are chosen as first language papers. Bilingual refers to English and Chinese at Yew Chung. Only around 24% of students worldwide achieve the IB Bilingual Diploma each year.）

满分同学王美淇的耀中学习之旅始于一年级。

她自认性格内向，在香港耀中求学的13年里，她最感念的是母校给予不同个性和特点的孩子均等的机会，让学生得以发展各项能力。

因考获满分而备受关注的她认为，学业优秀只是优秀的一种，她的同学都很优秀，且互助友爱，只是大家的优秀表现在不同的方面。而回忆起IB学习的最大挑战，她认为疫情下不得不面对的闭校是对学生来说最艰难的时刻。

New graduate Mechina is a self-confessed introvert. She was one of the two top scorers on our list. Her learning journey started at YCIS from Year 1.

What she will miss most about her 13 years at YCIS is the special care shown to students with different abilities and backgrounds.

All were encouraged to develop to their fullest potential. She believes that academic excellence is just part of the YCIS story.

She describes all her classmates as 'very supportive'. They were all good in different ways. Her biggest challenge was the school closure due to the pandemic. This was a stressful time for all.

而另一位满分同学郑铭铿与耀中结缘更早，在婴幼儿阶段（6个月-2岁班）即加入了耀中。

他亦认同疫情下的学习考验最为难忘，这让他必须学会在无法面对面获得老师指导的情况下，更加积极主动地提问和寻求帮助。

郑铭铿也是母校“品格教育”坚定的拥护者。他感恩母校教会他要关怀社会，关心不同的群体，聆听不同的声音，他说，这比单纯的成绩好要重要得多。

两位满分同学都选择了海外升学，郑铭铿决定赴加拿大多伦多大学修读商业管理5年课程。王美淇或将选择入读心仪已久的美国著名女子文理学院卫斯理学院。

Enoch, another top scorer, has been with YCIS since attending the Infant and Toddler Learning Programme (6 months to 2 years-old).

He thought preparing for the exams amidst pandemic restrictions was a remarkable, if stressful, learning experience. He became more proactive. He asked more questions. And he sought help when he was unable to get in-person guidance.

Enoch is a firm believer in character development. He is grateful his alma mater taught him to care about the community and to listen to different voices. This is something he believes is far more important than just securing high grades.

Both these students with perfect scores have chosen to study overseas. Enoch will go to the University of Toronto for a five-year programme in Business Management while Mechina is considering the prestigious liberal arts Wellesley College, USA.

北京耀中今年的成绩也颇为亮眼。

22名毕业生中，诞生1名满分状元，3名学生获得44分，3名学生获得43分，考试通过率为100%，59%的同学获得了双语文凭。获得满分的Harune Mori将赴日本索菲亚大学学习化学。

YCIS Beijing also had an impressive year, with one perfect scorer from among 22 graduates.

Three secured 44 marks and three more picked up a score of 43. The pass rate was a perfect 100% and as many as 59% received the bilingual diploma.

The top scorer Harune will read Chemistry at Sophia University, Japan.
