The American Mathematical Contest (AMC) is organized by the American Mathematical Association (MAA) and originated in 1950. Currently, 300,000 students from more than 6,000 schools around the world participate each year. It is one of the most influential youth math competitions in the world.

AMC has not only become a talent pool of top mathematics talents in the United States, but its scores have also become the basis for evaluating the academic achievements of applicants in mathematics subjects. 这次在准备数学竞赛的过程中收获最大的是思维上的提升，这是在普通的数学题目中未曾涉及到的。但是在诺德安达学校的数学课堂中，我学习到了数学思维上的技巧，想象力得到了拓展。所以当数学竞赛中涉及到较多关于题目的分析和图形的空间感时，我觉得并不是十分有压力。在学习的过程中，我发现很多时候在对知识理解透彻就能发现简便的解题方法。在准备过程中我还意识到一个很重要的学习方法就是举一反三，很多题目都只是换了一件衣服但是内在是一样的，思维方式都是贯通的。而求知的道路还十分的漫长，这次数学竞赛只是人生中一块小小的里程碑，在后续的学习中，我将会更加努力，砥砺前行。

The biggest gain in preparing for the mathematics competition this time is the improvement in thinking, which is not involved in ordinary mathematics problems. But in the mathematics class at Nord Anglia School, I learned the skills of mathematical thinking and expanded my imagination. So when the math contest involves more analysis of the topic and the sense of space in the graphics, I don't think it is very stressful. In the process of learning, I found that many times when I have a thorough understanding of the knowledge, I can find a simple way to solve the problem. During the preparation process, I also realized that a very important learning method is to draw inferences. Many topics are just a change of clothes but the inner part is the same, and the way of thinking is all connected. And the road in life is still very long. This math competition is just a small milestone in my life. In the follow-up study, I will work harder and move forward.
