还记得十年前的教师节，我入选了协励会杰出师德奖的评选，当日凭借我幽默的演讲赢得了现场观众的芳心，并最终拿到了那枚蓝宝石徽章。当时我的发言稿里有这么一段话：如果说最初成为一名教师是迫不得已、是误入歧途。那么最终让我坚定的朝着这条康庄大道走下去的原因是来自学生对我的爱。

I remember that ten years ago, on the Teacher's Day, I was chosen for the Outstanding Teacher's Award of SUIS. During the ceremony, I won the hearts of the audience for my humorous speech, and finally got that winner’s sapphire badge. At that time, there was a paragraph in my speech: if being a teacher is because there wasn’t much of a choice, or even a bad one for me at that time, then the reason why I stick firmly to my decision and go down this one-way road is definitely for the love of my students.

2012年我第一次当了班主任，非常2班就此建立。这是万源初中部最后一届全精英班的配置。没想到这第一届非常2班的李嘉祺同学在三年后考上了牛津大学。我曾邀请学长李嘉祺给第二届和第三届非常2班都做过讲座。

In 2012, I became a homeroom teacher for the first time, and we decided to call our homeroom the “Special Class 2”. Also, this is the last generation of SUIS Wanyuan campus’s elite-curriculum class. Unexpectedly, Li Jiaqi, who is from my first “Special Class 2”, was admitted to Oxford University three years later. I have since invited Li Jiaqi to come to my following second and third “Special Class 2” homeroom and share his amazing life experience to us.

2017年我第一次当了年级组长，兼第三届非常2班的班主任。这一届的关键词是：万源初中部第一届全先锋班的配置。三年后初中部将进入新一轮的发展，完成学部全先锋的转变。拉开序幕、奠定基础成为了我的责任和使命。六年级我们经受住了考验取得了家长的信任与支持、七年级我们经历了部编教材大变革、八年级我们遇上了新中考政策实施、九年级我们首次开设9A国际课程班。经过四年的努力最终我们为高中输送了一批优秀的学子。他们就读于万源小学、成长在非常2班、选择了9A课程、正奋斗在美式高中，他们就是优秀万源学子的代表。

In 2017, for the first time, I became the Head of the Grade and also homeroom teacher of my third “Special Class 2”. The highlight of this time is: our new grade 6 starts the full pioneer-curriculum classes for the first time in SUIS Wanyuan. Three years on, the whole middle school of SUIS Wanyuan would have gone through a new round of development, completing the transformation to the pioneer-curriculum for all middle school classes. Therefore, starting this project and laying the foundation became my responsibility and mission as the leader of grade 6. During Grade 6, we withstood the test and won the trust and support of parents. Moving on to Grade 7, we smoothly went through a major change in the teaching materials following the National Education Bureau’s instruction. In Grade 8, the implementation of the new high school entrance examination policy gave us a big challenge. In Grade 9, we started the 9A international curriculum class for the first time. After these four years of hard work, we finally delivered a group of excellent students for our high school. These students began their education in SUIS Wanyuan primary, further developed in my “Special Class 2” of our middle school, chose 9A international course, and are now still studying in our American-curriculum SUIS High school. They are the representatives of our outstanding SUIS Wanyuan students.

2022年我再一次重新起航，带领新六年级，带领我的第四届非常2班。这一届的标签是：初中部历史人数最多、班级最多、以及首个六年级国际课程班。三年后将与9A课程接轨，贯通初中阶段的国际课程通道，无缝衔接美式高中。为万源未来10年进一步深化国际化特色的转型奠定基础。

In 2022, I was once again tasked with this big project to lead the new Grade  6, and also homeroom teacher for my fourth “Special Class 2”. This year's highlight is: The Middle School has the largest number of students and classes in history, and the very first International Stream curriculum for Grade 6 started as well. Three years from now, this class will be connected with our 9A international course, thus the whole international curriculum of the middle school will complete, and it will then seamlessly connect to our high school which is based on American curriculum. This will lay the foundation for SUIS Wanyuan for the next decade to deepen the transformation of our unique international characteristics.

10年前我给非常2班选了一个座右铭贴在教室里，十年后我用的还是这句话，我觉得以后我都会一直用这句话。就把我最钟爱的句子作为结束语，送给所有同仁共勉。“每个人的未来不是一件偶然的事，而是看你怎么选择，它取决于我们说什么，我们做什么和我们相信什么。”

Ten years ago, I chose a motto and it was shown in the classroom for my “Special Class 2”. Ten years later, I still and will always be using this motto for my students. I would like to end my story here with my favorite motto and also share it with my dear colleagues. "Everyone's future is not an accident, but is determined by how we choose, what we say, what we do and what we believe."
