天气渐渐变凉,星校的减压活动也如期而至。2022年11月17日下午,上海星河湾双语学校高中部的同学们刚结束紧张的期中考试,就迎来了学校精心准备的减压活动,一同释放压力,体验快乐。
本次减压活动分为两种:搏击和颂钵。
搏击活动在体育馆三楼的室内篮球场进行,星校有请专业的拳击教练带领大家进行运动。完成简单的热身运动后,教练带领同学们随着节奏感极强的音乐学习了一系列简单的拳击动作,如直拳和小幅度踢腿。在拳击动作学习完后,教练引导同学们进行了拉伸与放松。一套40分钟的高强度运动下来,不少同学虽然已经大汗淋漓,但纷纷表示成功释放了压力,也在过程中获得了快乐。
在体育馆二楼的舞蹈房中开展的颂钵活动也同样解压。同学们躺在铺好的瑜伽垫上,听着轻音乐和木鱼的声音进行颂钵活动。有些同学在跟朋友轻声聊天,有些同学闭目养神,同学们将自己沉浸在这安静,舒缓的氛围当中。颂钵活动虽没有那么热情似火,但是温和安静的气氛也带给了我们身心的双重放松。
西方有句谚语说:光学习,不玩耍,聪明的孩子要变傻。适当的体育锻炼和娱乐活动,在紧锣密鼓的学习生活中是必不可少的。本次减压活动让同学们获得了放松的机会,大家成功释放了心中的压力。希望星校学子都能在劳逸结合中合理有效地安排学习与生活!
As the weather got cooler, SSBS’s stress-relief activities arrived as scheduled. On the afternoon of November 17, 2022, high school students, who had just finished their midterm exams, participated in stress-reliefs activities carefully devised by the school. During the forty-minute session, they relieved themselves from exam stress and received much happiness.
There were two types of stress-relief activities: boxing and sound therapy.
In the indoor basketball court, students participated in boxing activities. To direct the exercises, SSBS invited a professional boxing coach. After tutoring the simple warm-up exercises, the coach helped the students to learn a series of simple boxing movements. The students did straight punches and kicks along with the rhythmic music. Finally, after students’ learning the boxing movements, he also guided them to stretch and relax. After 40 minutes of high-intensity exercise, many students were sweating profusely, but they were glad that they successfully reduced the pressure and gained happiness while exercising.
In the dance studio, other students were receiving sound therapy from Himalayan singing bowls. Originated from Tibet, singing bowls were instruments used by Buddhist monks to help with their meditation. During the therapy, the students laid on the soft cushions arranged in advance as they listened to the rich, deep tones made by the bowls. Some students chatted softly with their friends, some were resting their eyes with their eyes closed, and others immersed themselves in this quiet and soothing atmosphere. Although the sound therapy was not as energetic as the boxing activity upstairs, the sound therapy also brought relaxation to the students both physically and mentally.
The stress-relief activities gave students a chance to relax after the intense midterms. They successfully released the pressure that was suppressed in their hearts. Many students voiced their support for this kind of activities and looked forward to participating in them again.
