喜逢万源十年校庆，说说我与万源十年的故事，充满欣喜充满爱。

Wanyuan has celebrated its ten-year anniversary. My story with Wanyuan for the past decade is full of joy and love.

初遇协和，回溯2006年，我是一个新生儿的母亲，以一个具有生物学专业背景和十年英语老师工作经历的身份重回讲台，进入协和初中部，担任科学和生命科学的双语教学工作。那时的我以为我只是单纯喜欢讲台，喜欢挑战，喜欢用自己的方式迎接每一个日子。

Back in 2006, I was a mother of a newborn. As a graduate majoring in biological science with ten years’ experience of working as an English teacher, I joined SUIS education, serving as a bilingual teacher of science and biological science. At that time, I thought I came back to school just because I liked teaching, embraced challenges, and preferred to welcome every day in my own way.

在老校区六年的摸爬滚打，用全新的方式打开了我的职业模式，用专业和英语同时武装的自己日益强大起来。六年里，我喜欢并适应着协和的教育理念，充满欢喜地陪伴着学生的成长。六年里，宽厚包容的领导们给了我最大的空间去不断地自我探索，自我完善课堂教学，激发我的科研热情。那六年，为我的万源十年做着最好的积累。

During the six years going through various hardships and challenges in Hongqiao campus, I moved my career in a completely new direction. My education background and English language skills helped me deliver to the best of my ability. I came to care deeply about SUIS. I enjoyed working with my students, witnessing their growth and exploring my passion in scientific research as well as in the classroom. I considered myself fortunate to work under the leadership of the dynamic and inclusive school management, encouraging me to unlock my potential with continuous efforts. Those six years laid a solid foundation for our success in Wanyuan.

时光如梭，与我一同进入协和的那一届孩子，近来听说了很多他们结婚的喜讯。时光真的厚爱着我们。

Time does fly. In the blink of eyes, I am excited to hear some of the children who entered SUIS in the same year with me have got married recently. I do believe it must be our destiny to meet each other here in SUIS. It is with that belief that we are able to live our lives with confidence and be hopeful about the times to come.

2012年，万源协和诞生了。5月，带着展示第一届先锋班的孩子博物馆学习成果的任务，我第一次踏入这个迷宫一样的校园。从此，开始了我在万源十年的成长之路。

In 2012, SUIS-Wanyuan was established. In May, I entered the new campus for the first time to display the works and projects completed by the students of our first pioneer class after taking them to the museums, which offered a rich variety of tailored tours and special educational events. From there, I started my 10-year journey in Wanyuan.

万源十年，发现当初的单纯是多么的幸运。在万源，我依旧能用自己喜欢的方式迎接每一个新学期，迎接每一节属于我的课堂，迎接每一届那么多性格或相似或迥异的孩子们。同时在万源迎接了属于我的高光时刻：第一次市级公开教学获得同行的肯定；第一次市级教学比赛成绩不俗；我的少年初中毕业了，我自己获得了高级教师的资格；重新开始做主任，有了三届不同特质但一样可爱出色的班集体。2016年开始，万源校区初中部全员走班，我拥有了自己的专业教室，用孩子们的话说，那是他们的人间理想，有一间像家一样的工作室，努力学习，努力工作，努力生活。2018年10月，接受协和教育集团兼职教研员的培训，并顺利成为一名能与各校区老师们分享我的教育教学经历的讲师。

To tell the truth , just the feeling of being present in a new campus was exhilarating. In the past 10 years, I have been enjoying my work and trying to bring some changes here on a daily basis which my director welcomed with open arms. It is on this campus that I take ownership of my work. The school management stimulated and nurtured my teaching skills and made me dare to dream. The people who came into my life here left a huge impact on me professionally and personally. The students I taught helped me groom myself not only as a better educator but also as a better person. Even though some lessons were learned the hard way, they all helped me to carve a niche for myself in my profession. At Wanyuan, I accomplished a great deal. My demo lesson was acknowledged and I received the teaching award at the municipal level; after my son graduated from middle school (G9) , I was granted the title ‘Senior Teacher’; I was given the role of a homeroom teacher once again; although faced many ups and downs, I met the students from 3 different classes full of energy and charisma. Since 2016, Wanyuan campus has been promoting subject-oriented classrooms. And I got my own science classroom. Quoted from my students ‘that is our ideal in the future’, I live my campus life to the fullest. In October, 2018, I was appointed as a Trainer in SUIS Education Group and that gave me the opportunity to expand my horizons and spread my wings to reach more teachers, sharing my teaching experience and professional expertise.

走过了万源十年，很庆幸，我依旧热爱着我的工作，会充满自信地说着自己的热爱：热爱这个校园的包容和多元；热爱有趣又宽容的领导；热爱同事们简单却真诚的友谊；热爱吵吵闹闹的孩子们；热爱总是充满挑战的新学期，不断刷新我的工作领域。也惊喜在十年后的马路上偶遇依旧能认出我来的孩子。每一个从万源初中部毕业的孩子，我们都在课堂上相遇过。

Having spent ten years working in Wanyuan, I'm glad that I still love my work and cannot wait to show my affection for the campus that is both accommodating and inclusive. I am used to the hustle and bustle of this campus and the innumerable benefits it offers. Wanyuan is a vibrant, thriving center of culture that offers a wealth of opportunities to engage in and experience the school community. Here, a group of people, supportive leaders, innovative team members, noisy children, came together with a mutual interest in creating an environment that encourages learning and enhances engagement. I always feel amazed each time I run into my students who studied in SUIS WY years ago on the street. Hearing my name called outside school once in a while never fails to remind me that I taught each and every student who graduated from Middle School in my classroom.

十年万源，十年成长路！十年间，我成长为在闵行区颇受好评的科学老师，作为万源唯一的生命科学老师，独享课堂带给我的乐趣，独自在一门学科里的研究和探索有着意外的自由空间，让我能独树一帜地建立属于我自己的教学特色，开发契合教学的博物馆学习，建立自己喜欢的社团······。

Over the past 10 years in Wanyuan, I have had the utter privilege of learning alongside my extremely resilient and intelligent students. I hope that I have been able to give them close to the experience that they have given me. As the only biological science teacher in Wanyuan, I realize my hard work, doing research, developing curriculum, organizing customized field trips to museums, setting up student clubs, etc, not only prepares students for their future but ensures that students have the opportunity to pursue their passions and become the people that will make the world a better place as well. My efforts paid off. I have mastered all of the ingredients of successful teaching, especially the ability to inspire. Reaction to my classes has been overwhelmingly positive in and out of school.

来协和的时候，从来不曾想过我能一直坚守我的课堂。然而在万源十年的时候，我却很真诚地在期待万源的下一个十年.

Never in my wildest dream, could I imagine I would teach at school for so many years. I am fully convinced that it is SUIS that makes me believe in my abilities as a teacher and makes me feel that I am actually helping every student I come across. When I reflect on the last decade on Wanyuan’s 10th anniversary, I am really looking forward to the next 10 years.
