With the advent of spring, everything comes to life again. The silent campus has restored vitality because of the return of the students. New start, new challenge!

一大早，校领导和全体老师在校门口迎接融合学子的到来。

Early in the morning, the principals and teachers welcomed the EMW students at the school gate.

开学典礼上，李春燕校长代表教科大家庭欢迎新老师生的回归。对于新学期，面对全新的挑战和未知的世界，李校长希望所有同学要懂得感恩，厚植国家情怀；要常怀敬畏之心，敬畏自然、敬畏法律、敬畏生命；后疫情时代的世界充满了各种不确定，而我们唯一能做的就是做好确定的自己，始终坚持追求卓越。

The opening ceremony was held on the school playground. Ms. Spring Li, Principal of SUIS Jiaoke Campus, extended a warm welcome to the "old" teachers and students who have returned to campus, as well as the new teachers and students who have just joined our school. Ms. Li also gave some advice to help the students to face the uncertainty in their future lives. She suggested they should be grateful and patriotic, always be in awe of nature, the law and life, and always strive for excellence. The world is full of challenges, the only thing we can do is improve our efforts.

融合课程部联合副校长Adam Flower先生鼓励同学们学习奥运精神，无论是在今后的学习还是生活中，不畏惧失败，不轻易气馁，在失败中总结经验，坚定前进的方向和决心。

Mr. Adam Flower, Co-Vice Principal, would like all students to take note of the grit and determination shown by the Olympics athletes like Su Bingtian and aim to succeed in everything they do; both in the classroom and beyond the classroom.

紧接着，融合学子开启了丰富的开学第一天。

The first day was busy and happy.

6年级新生在班主任的带领下参观了校园，实验室、图书馆、餐厅、报告厅、IT教室、美术教师......相信全新的环境会带给新生们全新的体验和无限的机遇。

The 6th graders had a school tour led by their mentors and visited the laboratories, the library, the canteen, the auditorium, IT classrooms, the Art room, etc. We hope that the new environment will bring new experiences and unlimited opportunities to the new students.

在享用了营养均衡又美味的午餐后，融合课程部的第一次集会也如期而至。

The first assembly of JKEMW was held after lunch.

联合副校长奚恺菁女士在致辞中提到的，“在EMW，我们旨在培养拥有国际视野、理解中国文化、具有行动力的未来型人才”。因此，本学期，在原有ECA的基础上，我们开设了CEC课程，从学术到运动，全方位地为融合学子提供了成长与发展的平台。与此同时，各项学院活动也蓄势待发，等待大家团结合作，挑战自我。

Ms. Cindy Xi, Co-Vice Principal, said, 'EMW's education can help you grow into global citizens capable of leading the future with global thinking, local understanding and international action. Therefore, this semester, besides ECAs, we will also have CEC courses, which provide a platform for the growth and development of EMW students. At the same time, various house competitions are also ready to go, waiting for everyone to work together and challenge themselves.

学生处主任李娜老师从学校4C(自信、沉着、关爱、有创造力)理念出发，和所有同学一起了解和回顾了融合课程部的日常管理准则。新生们也了解了如何正确地使用学生日志来帮助自己尽快地适应新的学习和环境。

Lina Li, Dean of Students, based on the school's 4C (confident, calm, caring and creative) ethos, introduced rules and expectations of EMW. She also suggested students use the student planner wisely which will help them adapt to the new learning and environment as soon as possible.

体育组组长Mr. Phil Vandersleyen和大家分享了新学期对于融合学子体育技能和体育精神的期待，并预告了校队试训的时间。

Mr. Phil Vandersleyen introduced the athletics philosophy, missions and requirements for the new semester, and encouraged all students who are interested in sports to join in the try-out tomorrow.

三位年级组长带领着全体班主任和大家见面并送上了对新学期的期待和祝福。

The students met with their HOGs and mentors and received best wishes from them.
