清晨9点，当阳光照在浦东协和（三林校区）的校园入门口，我们迎来了新、老生注册。安静的校园突然变得热闹起来。学生们身穿校服，精神饱满的走进校园，老师们则带着最真诚的笑容问候每位踏入校园的孩子们。 As the sun shines on the entrance of SUIS Pudong Sanlin campus, we warmly welcome the new students, and the quiet campus suddenly becomes lively once again. The students entered the campus in full uniform and full of spirit. The teachers greeted every child entering the campus with sincere smiles.
 
新生入学第一天不仅意义非凡，也是每位学生不可错过的时刻。 The first day of school for new students is not only of great significance， but also a moment cannot miss.

浦东新区民办协和双语学校外方联合校长Kim Sahi女士为新生们发表了开学演讲，欢迎每一位新生到来的同时，鼓励学生们保持热情、大胆探索，积极合作，在未来高中阶段学习生涯收获人生宝贵经验。 Co-principal of SUIS Pudong (Xueye Campus) Ms. Kim Sahi gave an opening speech for the 2021-22 students. She encouraged the students to maintain enthusiasm, explore boldly, cooperate actively, and gain valuable life experience in their future high school career. 、、

因疫情原因，新生开学典礼分2场进行，每位学生都自觉隔位而坐。

每一位学生都是独特的个体，学校的老师从认识孩子的那一刻起，就会聆听他们的想法，发现每个孩子身上的闪光处。 Every student is unique, so the school staff will listen to their ideas and explore the potential of their personality from the moment they know them.      

协和浦东副校长兼三林校区联合主任水一帆女士、执行联合主任Nura Ail Hassan、年级协调员William Goulder代表学校全体教职工欢迎新生们的到来，并就学生日常行为规范及学术规范进行了详细的说明。

Ms. Shui Yifan, Vice Principal of SUIS Pudong、 Head of SUIS Pudong (Sanlin campus)，Acting Co Head/Deputy Head Ms Nura Ali Hassan，and Grade Coordinator Mr. William Goulder, welcomed the new students on behalf of the school and elaborated all school routines and regulations to all students.

你好，新同学！

住宿生破冰活动是每年开学第一天的常规活动，为了让住宿学生之间在未来的寝舍生活更加融合友好，破冰活动是增加彼此了解，增进友谊很好的方式。经过一个下午的互动，原本生疏的同学们多了一份默契和关心。

Boarding students started with some activities in the afternoon during the orientation day, which is a regular event on the first day of school. This is done  in order to make the boarding students feel more integrated and settle into  their dormitory life in the future, are a good way to increase mutual understanding and friendship. After an afternoon of interaction, the original unfamiliar students started to gain familiarity with each other and with their teachers.
