处暑过，暑气未止，新学年翩然而至。8月31日下午，上海星河湾双语学校G5-G9莘莘学子齐聚校园，共迎 2021学年第一学期开学典礼。校党总支书记胡清恬老师，校初小部马旦叶校长，校初小教务主任郑圣洁老师出席本次开学典礼。典礼由7-1班班主任韩韬老师主持。

韩老师简练热情的开场致辞

勾起了学生往昔美好的校园生活

紧接着五星红旗飘扬而上，

雄伟而庄重的国歌响彻礼堂，

庄严书写在学生的脸上，

致敬为我们开辟康庄大道的英烈。

三人行，必有我师。来自G5、G7、G9年级的三位学生代表分别上台发表演讲，向同学们分享自己学习和生活的种种经历，并表达了自己对新学期的期待与展望。

第一位演讲者来自5-5班的孙誉嘉同学。她捕捉到科技发展与日常生活碰撞的火花，思索了课余时间艺体之必要，借助自己的故事，呼吁同学们燃起少年旺盛的体力、创造力和自然而敏锐的审美之心，全面提升自身素养，不负时代召唤。

第二位演讲者来自7-5班的卫子菡。她分享了她的生命变化——师长的循循善诱、殷切关怀，使自己破茧成蝶：勇于表达、敢于尝试，这是她成长的变奏曲。她鼓励同学们借助身边的力量，突破舒适区，挑战自己的意志，下一刻学业和生活的双丰收便会如期而至。

最后一位演讲者来自9-4班的曹陈诺。他回顾了过去一年自己在编程中收获的感悟。他认为梦想与现实的转换条件必然是坚定的信念和长期的韧劲。历史长河峥嵘岁月里刻下的先辈事迹便是我们的火炬，不畏困难，乐于尝试，用一次次失败浇灌最后的梦想绽放。

学生代表发言结束后，初小部马旦叶校长上台致辞。马校长准备了针对不同年级的新学年建议，衷心希望所有学生都能在新学期找准自己的方向，坚定前行。除此之外，马校长还号召同学们在日常生活里不仅为自己，还要为身边人担起责任，成为有担当、有责任感的人。

演讲环节落幕后，大家最期待的颁奖仪式开始了！这不仅是对努力奋进的同学们的一次表彰，更是对台下同学们的激励。

重返校园，重逢师友，重翻课本，心旷神怡。祝所有的同学在新学期都能收获新知，不负韶华不负众望。祝大家开学快乐！

The torrid summer hasn’t yet faded, and the memories of vacation are still vivid in our minds. However, the steps of the new semester never hesitate. On August 31th, Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School started a new academic year accompanied with the return of students and teachers. 

The ceremony began in the solemn and sonorous national anthem.

After the flag raising ceremony, three student representatives each gave a speech on stage. They shared their study and daily experience and expressed their expectations for the brand-new semester. 

The first to give her speech is Jenine from G5-5. She used the strong relationship between technology development and daily life to lead in her thoughts about the importance of paying attention to both sports and arts. She related this to her own experience, and strongly suggested all students improve creativity and curiosity while also keeping track on academic study. She had two more suggestions for everyone:

1.Manage time rationally

2.Manage failure - learn to accept and overcome defeats

The next to speak is Stella from G7-5. She talked about her gains from student teacher communication, self-expression and making new attempts. She also mentioned that people should try to find a role model to motivate themselves. Stella encouraged schoolmates to achieve improvements in both studies and daily life through making changes. 

The last speaker is Ryan from class 9-4. He explained the reflections he learned from coding. He said that students should pay attention to listening, comprehension, and evaluation while studying or chasing dreams. In his point of view, when actualizing our dreams, we need both determination and motivation. Ryan hoped students can be staunch and fearless when they work to actualize their goals.

Shortly after the three student representatives finished their talking, principal Ms. Ma gave her speech. She provided helpful advice for students from different grades. She welcomed fifth graders who are new to this campus. To sixth graders, she wished that they’ll be confident at the new middle school; to seventh graders, she advised them to improve time-management skills; to eighth graders, she suggested they spend their time wisely and be steady during this important period of their growth; last, to the ninth grader, Ms. Ma looked forward to seeing them sprint for their most significant year in middle school. Ms. Ma hoped that everyone could exert oneself wisely and succeed in the new semester. She concluded that all students should try their best to become responsible, confident, and multivariant.

The speech sections came to an end, and the awarding ceremony began.

Congratulations to all the students and the classes who paid great efforts in the last semester!

The opening ceremony soon came to an end. We return to school, reunite with our classes and reopen our books. Wish everyone can make achievements and gain new knowledge in the new semester!
