经过一个暑假的修整，同学们又兴致勃勃地重返校园，开启杭校新生活。与此同时，新的改变与挑战也接踵而至。为了帮助学生更好地适应新的学年，年级集会、主题特色班会相继开展，为学生制定目标，提升自己提供帮助。

NEW TERM

1. 新挑战

对于同学们来说，最重要的一个变化是身份的转变。从六年级的“萌新”成长为七年级的学长学姐，这也意味着他们将要面临更困难的挑战，目标也从“适应”转为了“提升”。同学们需要在七年级建立新的目标，对自己有更高、更严格的要求。

2. 新旅程

为了帮助学生更高效地建立目标，七年级的第一次年级集会，以“新学期，新旅程”作为主题，从“英语能力，学业水平，兴趣特长和个人素养”四个方面对学生提出了新的要求。同学们也对新挑战的难度有了清晰的认知。学校不但注重于学生们的学习，对于兴趣活动也非常重视。学校即将开展的学生自主社团、课后艺体活动和社团和选修都促进了学生们的全面发展。而针对个人素养方面，也有新的目标提出。学习态度、优良品德、遵守规则都是作为学生应该养成的个人素养。

主题为“目标”的班会课也随之开展。想要有所进步，就必须树立目标，并且拼尽全力去实现它。在班会上，学生一起讨论了飞轮效应。

刚开学，多多少少会有些不适应。这个时候，要让飞轮转起来的最佳方法就是设立新学期的目标并实现它。

3. 新目标

通过年级集会和班会，学生逐渐明朗了自己心中的目标。在班主任的指导下，他们选择制定了想要通过努力实现的目标。学生的目标不需要太遥远和宏大，最重要的是有可操作性，以及适合学生自己的发展。举例来说，部分学生制定的目标有提高英语阅读能力，他们同样也给自己规划了实行步骤：读更广泛的英语原版书籍，不只是把自己局限在同一种类型里。更要在读书的过程中养成好习惯，写好每一章节的概括。

制定目标容易，坚持向着目标前进却很困难。制定目标的过程不是追求一劳永逸，而是和打退堂鼓的心理打个架，和放纵享乐作斗争。

After the whole summer vacation, students came back to school feeling energized as they start their new semester at school. Also, students face new challenges and changes.

The biggest change to the previous G6 students is that they are now G7 seniors. This also means that the challenges they are now facing are way more difficult.

Comparing to G6, their main goals has changed. This year, they moved on from the aim to adapt to school in G6 to having progressions. They will need to set new goals for G7 and have higher and more rigorous standards for themselves.

In order to help students set goals, the first Grade meeting, with the topic of "new semester, new journey", was held. It divided into four parts: English ability, academic level, interest and specialty and personal quality. Students have a clear self-awareness of the difficulty of the new challenges. The school not only pays attention to students' learning, but also attaches great importance to interest activities. The upcoming student associations, after-school art and sports activities have promoted the all-round development of students. In terms of personal quality, there are also new goals. Learning attitude, good morality and abiding by rules are all personal qualities that students should develop.

Every G7 student also took parts in the class meeting with the topic of “goals”. If students want to have progress, they have to set up goals and try their best to achieve it.

They discussed about the “Flywheel effect” in class. This theory states that it requires a lot of strength to make the wheel start. It is difficult to revolve every turns, but eventually your effort pays off and the wheel will revolve quicker and quicker.Most students are still not use to school life at the beginning of the semester.The best way to revolve the wheel is to set up the goals for the new semester at this time.

After the Grade meeting and class meeting, the students gradually became clear about their goals.Under the guidance of teachers, they set up goals which can be achieced if they put their efforts. The goals should be realistic and suitable for themselves.For example, G7 students set the goal to improve their English reading ability. They made plans for themselves to read extensively, not just one kind of English books. They also aim to develop good reading habits such as writing summaries of each chapter.

It's easy to set goals, but it's difficult to stick to them. The process of goal setting is one once and for all, but a consistent effort to make sure they are on the right way. The road to the goals is full of difficulties, but students in Grade 7 will be able to cut through difficulties and achieve the goals and success.
