为了进一步加强家校联系，与家委们沟通新学期学校的各项情况，从落实新政策、校车、校服、食堂，到介绍新合作的爱心基金项目内容，我们广泛听取家长对学校工作的建议和意见，促进学校工作的全面发展，在9月18日召开本学期第一次家委PTSA大会。首先程敏校长和外方学术副校长Ms.C致辞，感谢家委们一直全力支持参与学校的活动，在本学期有新加入的家委，有和我们共同走过几年的家委，大家齐心协力，共创VKBS的美好明天。

To further strengthen the connection between parents and teachers and communicate with members of the parent committee about various situations of school in this new semester, the first conference for Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) of this semester was held on September 18th, during which we widely listened to the suggestions of parents on school work in terms of implementing new policies, solving problems of school bus, school uniform and canteen and introducing the new cooperation of Charity Fund Project, thus promoting the development of school work in an all-round way. Firstly, Principal Cheng Min and Vice Principal of Western Curriculum Ms.C made speeches, extending gratitude to the new and old members of the parent committee for their strong support to the school activities and calling on all the members to make joint efforts to create a bright future of VKBS.

"Double Reduction"

学校如何落实“双减”新政？学术副校长陈颖从作业管理、课后服务、五项管理、考试管理，四个方面给家委们详细解说，得到了家委们的支持和赞同。为了让孩子们高效学习，课堂采用 “讲”和“练”相结合的方式，在课堂上就完成难题和易错题的操练。老师们针对不同年级设置个性化作业模式，减轻学生们的作业压力，提升孩子们的综合素养。学校坚持遵守国家政策，同时保持教学质量、提高效能，保持特色不变。

How does the school deploy the new policy of "Double Reduction"?  Chen Ying, the Assistant Principal of Teaching, illustrated the solutions in detail from four aspects: assignment management, after-class services, five key factors, and examination management, which received the support and agreement of parents. “Teaching” is combined with “practicing” in class and students can complete the exercises of difficult and error-prone problems, so that students’ study efficiency can be ensured. The teachers set individualized assignments according to different grades to reduce the students’ pressure and improve their comprehensive quality. In accordance with the national policy, the school guarantees the teaching quality and increases the efficiency to keep its characteristics.

新学期，我们的每月主题活动已经开始筹备中，德育副校长张玉莉向家委们介绍新学期的各项活动，希望家委们对我们的主题活动提早做好安排，并积极参与到活动中，努力实现家校共育的目的。另外，张校长为新任家委颁发聘书，这一纸聘书，代表的是学校对新任委员的感谢与信任，更是一份沉甸甸的责任。相信有了家委们的关心、理解、支持、指导和服务，学校一定会更加朝气蓬勃，一定会结下累累硕果。

In the new semester, the monthly theme activities have been in preparation. Zhang Yuli, The Assistant Principal of Moral Education , introduced activities of the new semester to the members of the parent committee, hoping that parents can make a plan in advance for the theme activities and actively take part in the activities to achieve the goal of education by both teachers and parents. In addition, Ms.Zhang awarded a letter of appointment to each new member of the parent committee, which represented the gratitude and trust of the school to the new members as well as a heavy responsibility of the members. We believe that our school will be more vigorous to make achievements with the care, understanding, support, guidance and services of members of the parent committee. 

爱心基金项目

Charity Fund Project

我校始终将5C5R核心素养融入学校的方方面面，除了每年组织不同形式的爱心活动，如“小手拉小手”图书捐赠公益活动、蓝花楹慈善义卖、宝贝乐跑等，为了能够使公益捐款更合法合规地使用，我们将成立“联劝公益”爱心基金项目，此项目活动种类丰富，能够提供给孩子们更多优质的慈善活动机会，通过他们力所能及的实际行动真诚地为素未谋面的人传递温暖，帮助那些和他们年龄相仿，渴望学习却又有许多生活困难的孩子；帮助身体残疾需要医疗救助的孩子；帮更多需要帮助的人。在慈善活动中，孩子们学会关爱他人、学会感恩，体会帮助别人的快乐，从小种下爱的种子。

Our school always integrates the 5C5R core qualities into various aspects of school, including charity activities in different forms every year such as “Little Hands Holding Little Hands” Book Donation Activities, Jacaranda Charity Bazaar, and Baobei Run. Besides, we will establish the "United Donor Charity" Charity Fund Project to ensure that the use of charitable donations complies with the laws and regulations. There are many kinds of activities in this project providing students with more good opportunities to participate in charity activities. In this way, they can take action as fully their capabilities allow to sincerely give strangers a sense of warmth by helping their peers who are eager to study but confronted with many difficulties in life, the disabled children who need medical treatment, and more people in need. In charity activities, students learn to care for others and express their gratitude and experience the happiness of helping others, thus sowing the seeds of love at a young age. 

教育是一份责任，也是一门艺术。在孩子成长的每一个阶段，都离不开老师的指导，也不能缺少家长的关爱。家校双向联结、凝心聚力，才能共同点亮孩子生命中最灿烂的光点。

Education is a responsibility and an art. During every phase of growth, students need their teachers’ guidance and parents’ care. With joint efforts in education by both school and parents, great potentials of students can be stimulated.
