The “dual alleviation” policy was released before the start of the new semester; it requests to reduce the burden of homework to the students.

From this semester on, SCBS has optimised all homework and assignments; while the quantity is reduced, we ensure that all homework maintains high quality. For students who would like to do more exercises, they can choose whether to do the optional homework or not.

With the reduction of homework, students now have more time to explore their interests outside of the classroom. SCBS has improved our after-school service and allows our students to benefit from both academic and non-academic activities.

安心作业畅游书海

康德双语小学部的课后服务在原有“快乐活动”的基础上增加了“安心作业”和”爱心看护“时段，遇到困难时也可以得到老师的帮助。

看到身边小伙伴写作业、预习复习的身影，也让孩子们相信自己也同样可以做到认真学习。

Study & Reading Time

Our Primary School arranged a “Homework” time for pupils who would like to finish homework at school. There will be teachers in each classroom to help them solve questions.

In addition, studying with peers can encourage children to see the best of others and motivate themselves to be better.

在中学部，课后服务中时段一的自修时间让同学们可以专心高效地完成大部分作业，减轻回家之后的作业压力。对于部分课业上遇到困难的同学，也可以在此期间获得来自老师们有针对性的指导。

想要继续安静学习的同学们可以在时段二开始后前往焕然一新的图书馆，尽情畅游书海。

康德双语图书馆中的所有读物也响应了“五项管理” 中“读物管理”的要求，确保所有学生的读物符合青少年年龄段。

In our Middle School, the first period of after-school service can provide a chance for students to finish most of their homework effectively. They can also ask for help from the teachers whenever they need, and some students can receive targeted instructions from their teachers.

For students who would like to study more, they can go to the new library to enjoy a peaceful time with books during the second period. We can ensure parents that all the reading materials in our library are suitable for teenagers.

缤纷活动多样收获

结束了一天的学习后，许多同学已经迫不及待地想要加入到丰富多彩的活动中去了。

康德双语中学部与高中部的同学们在时段二可以从体育、社团、团队活动三个大类下十几种小类自由选择感兴趣的活动，让“体质管理”不限于体育课，社团也令课后延时服务的构架更为丰富。

Sports, Clubs & More Activities

After a day of studying, many students cannot wait to participate in different kinds of activities. Middle & High School students can choose from a variety of activities including sports, student clubs and group activities.

Our students are able to develop their interests from a plethora of different choices.

“篮球英豪”欢迎所有篮球爱好者与校队成员一起切磋球技、学习基本规则与裁判法；校国旗班的同学们不畏炎热的天气，严格锻炼自己的站姿与走姿。在击剑社，有实战经验丰富的学长们为低年级同学传授击剑心得，鼓励更多同学加入到这项运动中......

Members from the Basketball Team welcome all basketball fans to join and play; at the Fencing Club, we saw the senior students patiently explain the rules of fencing, shared their experiences and encouraged more students to join this sport.

对于在课后进行活动，同学们有怎样的感受呢？机器人社社长，十年级张哲钧同学表示，他感到在课后时间成员们都能很专注地投入到社团活动：

在课后时间，大家都感到很放松，可以全身心投入活动。开学首周的社团安排我们就进行了机器人组装，如果遇到问题还有指导老师为我们解答。

我们希望利用课后活动时间多积累经验，如果有机会还想去参加校外机器人比赛。

How do our students think about having activities after school? G10 student Jeremy Zhang, the president of the Robot Club, told us that he thinks everyone is more focused during the dedicated time for club activities.

We found ourselves much more relaxed after school and no one gets distracted. At our first meeting, we tried to assemble a robot, and we had a teacher to help us when we had questions. We hope to make the best use of this time and hopefully, we can participate in major robotic competitions.
