人勤春来早，奋斗正当时。料峭春寒挡不住春天的脚步，我们又迎来了一个崭新的新学期。2月21日，上海美达菲双语高级中学全体师生齐聚足球场，举行了“新学期、新起点、新征程”2021—2022学年第二学期开学典礼。

Early spring is a time of striving for the better. Coldness can not stop the footsteps of spring, and it is time to usher in a brand-new semester. On February 21, all teachers and students of Shanghai MacDuffie Bilingual High School gathered in the football field to hold the opening ceremony of the second semester of 2021-2022 school year.

主持人尤佳琪、赵德尊同学宣布开学典礼正式开始。经过寒假的休整，上海美达菲全体师生提振精神，鼓足干劲，如同盛开的迎春花，呈现出勃勃生机。一年之计在于春，春天是一年的开始，是所有目标和计划的起点，提出新的要求，定下新的目标，播种新的希望。在新学期，上海美达菲将进一步营造良好的校园环境和学习氛围，树立团结和谐、积极向上的校风、班风和学风。

Host You Jiaqi and Zhao Dezun announced the opening ceremony. After the winter vacation, all the teachers and students of Shanghai MacDuffie refreshed their spirits and refilled their energy, just like the blooming winter jasmine, showing full vitality. Spring is the beginning of the year. Spring is the starting point for all goals and plans. New demands are made, new goals are set, and new hopes are sown. In the new semester, Shanghai MacDuffie will further create a good campus environment and learning atmosphere, establish a united, harmonious, and positive spirit across the campus.

上海美达菲升旗手孙立、刁怀瑾同学在全体师生奏唱的国歌声中，将国旗冉冉升起，全体师生心怀对寒假的美好记忆，对未来的无限憧憬，共同开启新学期新篇章。

Sun Li and Diao Huaijin, flag-raisers of Shanghai MacDuffie, raised the national flag in the national song sung by all the teachers and students. All of them kept good memories of the winter holiday and infinite longing for the future, and jointly opened a new chapter of the new semester.

接着，上海美达菲校长王东焕为开学典礼致辞，向全体师生致以新学期的问候与祝福，对优秀的老师和同学加入到上海美达菲这个大家庭表示了热烈的欢迎。

王校长对美达菲学子们提出了“学习+运动+活动”的三点希望：

1.合理安排时间，多做多问多练

2.坚持运动，至少参加一项体育运动

在这三方面学校也提供了全方位的支持。新一学期，学校的足球场、篮球场、排球场、网球场、羽毛球馆、乒乓球馆、健身房和游泳馆运动设施每天都可以使用。同时学校也鼓励同学们根据自己的特长和兴趣创建属于自己的社团，激发潜能。
