还记得去年那场空前盛况的TEDx吗？这一集结了耀中耀华国际教育华东四校（上海耀中、上海耀华临港校区、上海耀华古北校区和浙江桐乡耀华）、持续了9小时的大型活动，吸引了近三万名现场及线上观众，获得广泛好评。（点击回顾TEDx）

演讲环节作为重头戏，更是给包括老师在内的所有人以强烈惊喜与震撼。在没有设限的情况下，从社交焦虑、性别平等、如何与他人辩论、Z世代的可能性，再到人工智能、电动汽车的未来、可以挽救生命的智能头盔，学生们提出的议题横跨了广阔且多元的领域，展示了他们令人惊叹的活力与思考力。

去年TEDx活动的主要策划者和负责人Chris博士曾在采访中提到，他希望每一位到场的观众能够被一些点子激发，也希望他们可以将声音传递与分享出去，在更大的社区范围内激起讨论与反思。我们很欣喜这样的初衷得到了回馈，也自豪于学生在筹备过程中所付出的辛勤努力和在演讲过程中所展示的自信风采。

今年五月，我们将迎来新一届TEDx，我们期待帮助学生们可以继续借助这一舞台发声，从个人经历或课堂所学出发，向世界讲述自己的故事与独到见解。我们鼓励每一位在校生积极报名，共同参与到这一思想碰撞的历程。我们深信，这定将成为每一位参与其中的学子，在求学过程中一段无法复制的经历。这不仅仅只是一次演讲，更会是一段学着将一个想法发展成为一份面向大众的、清晰完整表达的难得经验。

3月19日，在上海耀中浦西校区虹桥校舍，我们将举办“耀中耀华达人秀”活动。作为选拔形式之一，获得高分的学生将有机会在TEDx上呈现自己原创的想法。欢迎所有的耀中耀华学生扫描海报中二维码积极报名。三位专业的评判将根据学生的演讲内容、演讲形式及演讲创意等，对所有报名者进行评分，评分较高者将得以站上TEDx的舞台，一展风采。

冰冻三尺，非一日之寒。我们深知，优秀的演讲技巧及策略对于一段精彩的演讲至关重要，为此，在“耀中耀华达人秀”举办前，我们特意开办了为期两日的公众演说工作坊，四位专业的演讲者将教授学生们修辞技巧、故事讲述方式及肢体语言等，以提高学生们的演讲水平。

这四位老师分别为优秀青年话剧演员及创作者Yangyang Guo女士、圣路易斯华盛顿大学法学院博士Muyan Wes Jin先生、蓝图国际创始人Brian Wang先生及上海戏剧学院跨文化传播研究硕士Lelia Tahuburt女士。

Who can forget the unprecedented TEDx (read more about TEDx) event from last year? The 9-hour event held last spring brought together four YCYW schools, including YCIS Shanghai, YCIS Shanghai Lingang, YWIES Shanghai Gubei and YWIES Zhejiang Tongxiang and attracted nearly 30,000 people on-site at the West Bund and online. The dedication and commitment from students and staff was well worth it as the production received widespread acclaim from the greater community!  

The TEDx Talks session was one of the many highlights of this production and gave families, teachers, and friends a lasting impression of the potential of our students. Students were given freedom in their topic choices and ranged from gender equality, mental health and social anxiety, how to win a debate, Generation Z, artificial intelligence, the future of electric cars, and smart helmets that could save lives. The array of topics demonstrated YCYW students' diversity, adaptability, curiosity, and creative thinking power.  

The YCYW TEDx event director Dr Chris Hurley said in an interview that he hoped "everyone was inspired by some of the ideas, and that [the students] delivered and shared their voices to stimulate discussion and reflection with the larger community." We were delighted that his intention was realised and proud of the hard work and confidence of our students. 

This May, we will welcome a new TEDx event and help our students continue to use this platform to speak out and share their stories from their personal experiences and the world around them. More than just a presentation of public speaking, participation in such a large-scale event will be a rare experience of learning to develop an idea into a clear and complete expression for the public. We encourage every YCYW student to sign up and participate in this journey of thoughts and opinions.  

On March 19, YCIS Shanghai will be hosting the YCYW Talent Show at YCIS Shanghai Puxi, Hongqiao Campus, which will be one of the screening processes for our upcoming TEDx Talk event. Three professional judges will rate all applicants based on their presentation content, format and creativity, and the highest scorers will be recommended to showcase their speech at the TEDx Talk event this spring.   

We know that excellent presentation skills and strategies are crucial to a great speech, so we have prepared a 2-day public speaking workshop with four professional speakers to help students improve their presentation skills, storytelling strategies, and body language. 

The four teachers are Ms Yangyang Guo, an award-winning actress and director; Mr Muyan Wes Jin, PhD in Law, Washington University in St Louis; Mr Brian Wang, founder of Blueprint International; and Ms Lelia Tahuburt, Master of Intercultural Communication Studies, Shanghai Theatre Academy.
