11月26日,二年级的小朋友们就“我们身处什么时空”主题,围绕“我们所处的地域和时代,影响我们的认知和成长”这一中心思想,以上海为例,打造了一场“沉浸式”的课程展!现场观众仿佛开启了一场穿越上海的时空之旅!
On November 26th, the grade 2 students held an "immersive" assembly with the theme of "Where we are in place and time ". Around the central idea "The place and era in which we live affects our knowledge , ability and growth", they used Shanghai as an example. The audience seemed to have embarked on a journey through time and space of Shanghai!
镜头一:“沉浸式”体验·身临其境
整场课程展重现了从古代上海到现代上海的发展过程,给参观者一种沉浸式的体验。
The entire assembly recreated the development from ancient Shanghai to modern Shanghai, giving visitors an immersive experience.
镜头二:MISO探究·原始反终
在探究过程中,孩子们立足“变化”这一重要概念,采用MISO的研究方法,多方面了解上海在衣、食、住、行等方面的演变过程,并探究其变化背后的原因。
During the inquiry, children based their findings on the important concept of "change", using MISO research methods. They learned about the changes of Shanghai’s clothing, food, housing , travel and other aspects, and explored the causes behind it.
媒体·Media
孩子们在课堂内外,通过视频、图片、文章、书籍等不同的媒体途径了解上海,发展了研究技能。
Inside and outside the class, children developed their research skills by learning about Shanghai through videos, pictures, articles, books and other media outlets.
孩子们聆听了来自上海历史博物馆讲师的讲座,在讲师的讲解和一次次互动中,孩子们如同海绵般汲取到了更多关于上海发展史的知识,成为知识渊博的人。
Children attended a l ecture from the lecturer at the Shanghai Museum of History. They learned more about the changes of Shanghai in the lecturer’s introduction and interaction, they became knowledgeable.
调查·Survey
当代人们是否还了解、喜爱、接受上海传统美食?带着这样的问题,孩子们自主设计调查问卷并展开了调查,希望以此让大家认识到,传统美食也是传统文化的一部分,应当被弘扬与继承。
Do modern people still understand, love and accept traditional Shanghai food? With these questions, children designed questionnaires and conducted surveys themselves, hoping that people would realize that traditional food is also part of a traditional culture and should be promoted and upheld.
观察·Observation
孩子们还参观上海历史博物馆,他们积极探究,通过观察文物和文字介绍了解上海历史的变迁。
The children also visited the Shanghai History Museum, where they explored and learned about the changes in Shanghai's history by observing artifacts and text introductions.
镜头三:有效行动·宣传倡导
为了让更多人了解真实的上海,孩子们采取行动,利用周末时间走到上海的大街小巷,以照片、视频、文字等不同方式记录和诉说我眼中的上海。最后,孩子们与澳洲学生远程交流,发现不同地域的联系与区别。
In order to let more people know the real Shanghai, children took actions. They walked outside, recorded Shanghai in photos, videos, text and other different methods and talked about Shanghai in their eyes. Finally, the children communicated remotely with Australian students and discovered the connections and differences between different regions.
镜头四:服务性学习·温暖人心
服务性学习是将学生的课堂学习与现实社会的问题和需要结合起来,既促进学生的智力发展又促进学生的公民参与。
Service learning is to combine students' classroom learning with the problems and needs of real society. Service learning not only promotes students' intellectual development but also promote students' civic participation.
本次课程展就践行了服务性学习。孩子们在探究中意识到,上海作为国际化大都市,其繁华经济背后所隐藏的弱势群体也不容忽视。为此,孩子们了解了上海不同的非营利性公益组织(NGO),还实地探访了沪上有名的熊爪咖啡店,希望能将这只“熊掌”的温暖传递下去。
This assembly practices service learning.During the inquiry, children realized that Shanghai, is an international metropolis, and their are hidden vulnerable groups behind its prosperous economy that can not be ignored. To this end, the children learned about the different non-profit organizations (NGOs) in Shanghai. They also visited the famous Bear Claw Cafe in Shanghai, hoping to pass on the warmth of the bear's paw.
在为期六周的课程展筹备中,我们看到了二年级孩子的无限可能,看到了孩子们积极探究、关爱他人的优秀品质,他们在成为负责任的世界公民道路上又迈出了坚实的一步。
During the six-weeks of preparation leading to the assembly, we saw the infinite possibilities of the grade 2 students. They showed the excellent qualities of explorers and caring individuals and took another step on the road to becoming responsible citizens of the world.
