2021年12月27日，中芯学校英文部更名仪式在阶梯教室举行。浦东新区教育局国际交流中心主任吕翠红女士、中芯国际副总裁、董事会秘书郭光莉女士、中芯学校执行校董兼总校长庄小凤女士、各部校长及师生代表出席该仪式，其他师生在教室里通过线上直播收看，共同见证中芯学校国际部更名仪式。

On December 27, 2021, Shanghai SMIC Private School held a renaming ceremony for its English Track after receiving official government approval of its change in status to International Division. Ms. Cuihong Lü, Director of the International Exchange Center of Pudong Education Bureau, Ms. Guangli Guo, Vice President and Board Secretary of SMIC Company, Chancellor Flora Zhuang of SMIC School, other school leaders, and teacher and student representatives from across the school joined the ceremony to witness the unveiling of the new SMIC International Division designation. Other teachers and students watched the live ceremony online.

上午8点，在嘹亮的国歌声中，更名仪式正式开始。随后，主持人翟小丽女士（行政中心营运长）请浦东新区教育局国际交流中心主任吕翠红女士宣读市教委的批复。

The ceremony started with the national anthem. Then Ms. Shirley Chai, Chief Operations Officer, the host of the ceremony, invited Ms. Lü to the stage to announce the approval from the Shanghai Education Commission of SMIC School’s application for the International Division status.

浦东新区教育局国际交流中心主任吕翠红女士、中芯国际副总裁、董事会秘书郭光莉女士、庄小凤执行校董、Dr. Kelley Ridings校长共同为中芯学校国际部揭牌，全体校领导上台见证揭牌。

Ms. Lü, Ms. Guo, Chancellor Zhuang and Dr. Kelley Ridings, International Superintendent, unveiled the nameplate of the International Division, a moment when the entire audience applauded.

随着红色帷幕的揭开，“上海市民办中芯学校国际部”的名牌熠熠生辉。

The SMIC English Track is now officially known as the Shanghai SMIC Private School International Division!

中芯国际副总裁、董事会秘书郭光莉女士代表中芯公司赠送了一片12寸晶圆给中芯学校，庄小凤执行校董代表中芯学校接受赠与。

On behalf of the SMIC Company, Ms. Guo presented a 12-inch wafer to the school as a special congratulatory gift that Chancellor Zhuang accepted on behalf of the SMIC School.

国际部校长Dr. Kelley Ridings在讲话中表示，20年来梦寐以求的愿望终于得以实现。这离不开公司一直以来的支持、名誉校董胡淑光博士的带领以及执行校董庄小凤女士的不懈努力。

Dr. Ridings indicated in his speech that this dream of the past 20 years has finally come true because the company has firmly supported the school along the way. He noted that Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Shu-Kuang Hu set us down this path, and in recent years he acknowledged the dedicated leadership of Chancellor Flora Zhuang who has passionately guided the school to make this moment possible.

执行校董、总校长庄小凤女士代表全体师生发言时感谢上海市教育委员会、浦东新区教育局和中芯国际一直以来对中芯学校的关心、指导、支持和帮助。中芯师生将继续以勇于挑战的精神，团结奋进的力量，拥抱伟大的时代，创造中芯学校新的辉煌，扎根中国，融通中外，立足时代，面向未来！

Then, Chancellor Zhuang delivered her speech on behalf of all students and staff. She thanked the Shanghai Education Commission, the Pudong Education Bureau and the SMIC Company for the long-term support, guidance and assistance to the school. SMIC teachers and students will continue to embrace the great era of its past while creating new brilliance for Shanghai SMIC Private School with the spirit of challenge and the strength of unity to forge ahead while mirroring the path China takes as East meets West!
