作为全国外语特色学校教育研究会理事单位，学校以“科学务实、自强不息、追求完美”为校训，以打造“博慧的世界文化场”为愿景，国际化、多元化、精致化办学，致力成为“中国的伊顿公学”：与英国伊顿公学合作，开设领袖力课程;获得英国剑桥授牌，是常熟地区唯一一所剑桥学校及全球视野试点学校(全球20所学校之一);成为全国55所德国DSD项目学校之一，加入PASCH伙伴学校关系网，是全球1800多所PASCH学校的重要成员。

学校师资力量雄厚，由博慧教育倡导者和实践者、伦华教育创始人曹伦华先生担任学校总校长。曹伦华先生作为江苏省教授级中学英语高级教师、特级教师、苏州市名校长、苏州大学硕士生导师，具有近20年的'国际学校管理经验，曾被评为苏州市首届“感动苏州”十大教育年度人物。学校聘请了新加坡教育部课程司原副司长洪伟雄先生担任总督学，国内著名英语教学专家张连仲教授担任总顾问。

Changshu International School is one of the physical education schools in Lunhua Education, implementing 15-year international education system which is from kindergarten to high school. As one of the national foreign language characteristics school education research unit, the school considers "Discipline, Perseverance and excellence" as the motto. The school also creates "Erudite and wisdom world cultural field" as its vision. CIS would like to establish an internationalization, diversification, exquisite school. Also, it devotes itself to be "China's Eton College" through cooperation with the British Eton School and the creation of leadership courses. CIS is the only Cambridge school and the global vision of the pilot schools (one of the world's 20 schools) in Changshu. It is one of the 55 German DSD program schools nationwide and joins the PASCH partner school network and is an important member of more than 1,800 PASCH schools worldwide.

CIS also invites Hong weixiong, who was former deputy director of the Singapore Ministry of Education Curriculum Division, as an inspector and the famous English teaching expert Professor Zhang Lianzhong as consultant.
