万源城协和双语学校“慧聚•共享•行远”市级展示活动回顾

2022年11月30日下午,围绕“上海市民办中小学中青年优秀教师团队发展计划”,万源城协和双语学校“慧聚•共享•行远”市级展示活动开展,该活动是万源协和十周年校庆学术主题月系列活动的一部分。我校研究的主题为《基于九年一贯制双语学校学生英语学习规划的研究与设计》。上海市教委民办处霍煜馨老师、上海市教委教研室英语特级教师朱浦老师、协和教育中心督导评估院院长金慧频老师和闵行区小学英语教研员沈雯晴老师、上海浦东新区民办正达外国语学校屠彩英校长以及协和集团的各分校的骨干教师们出席了本次活动。

On the afternoon of November 30th, 2022, there was a municipal-level presentation of the Research Project conducted by middle-aged outstanding teachers in private primary and secondary schools in Shanghai. The theme of the activity was ‘Collecting wisdom, sharing knowledge and going far’, which was also a part of the series activities subjected as the academic theme month held for the tenth anniversary of SUIS WY campus. The research topic presented was ‘Research and Design of Students' English Learning Route under nine-year bilingual school’. Yuxin Huo, representative from the Private education Office of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Paul Pu, an expert English teacher from the teaching and research section of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Huipin Jin, the dean of the supervision and evaluation institute of Xiehe Education Center, Tracy Shen, an English teacher and researcher in Min Hang District Primary School, Principal Caiyin Tu who is the principal of Zhen Da Foreign Language School in Pu Dong District Shanghai and the backbone teachers of various branches of Xiehe Education Center were gathered here.

一、项目介绍

首先,市教委民办处霍煜馨老师从项目的背景、指导思想、具体要求和项目考核板块等方面详细介绍了“上海市民办中小学中青年优秀教师团队发展计划”。全力校长围绕办学目标、项目背景、问题分析、实施路径和预期成果等方面对我校项目进行了简要的整体介绍。

First of all, Ms.Yuxin Huo from the Private education Office of the Municipal Education Commission explained to everyone about the municipal-level presentation of the Research Project conducted by middle-aged outstanding teachers in private primary and secondary schools in Shanghai. She talked about the background, guiding ideology, detailed demands and the core part of the project, etc. Principal Quan Li introduced the project briefly about the educational objectives, the background the project, the analysis of the problems, the implement approach and the expected result.

二、学校项目成果汇报

接着,项目组核心成员向大家分享了研究成果。小学部主任陈洁老师介绍了《先锋班英语课程手册》。这本手册梳理了小初1-9年级英语学科课程目标、课程内容及课程评价等方面的内容,教师、家长和学生都能从这本手册中更好地了解我校英语课程,为学生的英语学习规划提供了全面的指导。

Then, the core members of the project team shared the research results with everyone. Ms. Jessica Chen, the director of the primary school department, introduced the Pioneer English Curriculum Handbook. This handbook sorts out the curriculum objectives, school-based curriculum and evaluation scheme of G1-G9 English subjects. Teachers, parents and students can better know about the English curriculum in our school with this booklet which can do an overview guide for the students’ English learning plan.

徐亚琳老师围绕团队的研修过程、先锋班英语1-9年级英语学习目标以及学年、学段目标方面详细介绍了我校学生英语学习的目标。万敏珍老师围绕我校中外教为促进学生英语学习,对英语课程大单元主题的梳理进行了介绍。侯明翠老师结合课例,介绍了中外教合作开展模块整体设计的路径和流程。

Ms. Irene Xu introduced G1-G9 Attainment Targets and Learning Route of Pioneer Class English. She introduced SUIS WY's English learning targets for grades 1-9 is the English learning system of SUIS WY which is based on the academic year and the phase of studying. Ms. Helen Wan introduced the theme integration of large units of English curriculum which based on the foreign teacher and local teachers’ cooperation for the promotion of students’ English learning. Ms. Tracy Hou introduced the practice and flow path of co-teaching between Chinese and foreign teachers based on the module map planning.

三、合作教学片段展示

小学部沈琴琴和Shimone围绕“Different people and things”这个相同的主题进行了合作教学片段展示。两节课中,两位老师引导学生通过阅读、小组合作等方式,提取语篇关键信息,分析人物性格,并在文中找到相应的证据,最终能通过口头介绍或表演的方式表达自己的想法。

Chris Shen and Ms Shimone showed the part of the lessons based on the same subject ‘Different people and things’. During the two lessons, both the teachers lead the students to extract information, analyze the character personality and find supporting details with reading and group working. Students can express their own idea orally or show at last.  

四、教师成长分享

小学部吴漪菁老师和初中部的路琳老师分别从 “过程性评价促进教师成长”的和“教育生涯规划—与学生一起成长”介绍了自己在项目中承担的具体任务和成长收获。

Ms Carol Wu from primary department and Ms Deer Lu from middle department shared their specific task and growth in the process of research. Ms. Carol Wu introduced ‘Process Evaluation Promotes Teachers' Growth’. Ms. Deer Lu introduced ‘Education Career Planning ━ Growing up with Students’.

五、专家点评

最后,朱浦老师对本次活动进行了专家点评。朱老师指出,万源协和根据学校自身的办学情况和发展需求,围绕学生英语学习规划,通过项目推进,引领教师围绕学生英语学习目标设定、内容整合、教学实施等方面去研究课标、教材、学生,扎根实践,开展教学研究,不断提升课程育人质量,体现了学校的办学智慧、发展智慧和教学智慧。该项目为学校教师发展搭建了平台,提升了教师的教学研究能力、课程理解力和课程设计、实施、评价能力,促进教师专业素养的发展。中外教师通过共研、共商,对学校的发展达成了共识,产生了共情,形成了学习和研究共同体。

Finally Mr Paul Zhu did the expert comments for the activities. Mr Zhu pointed out SUIS WY campus’s project focused on the school’s running status and the development needs, which is embraced on the students’ English learning plan. Through the promotion of the project, teachers are led to study curriculum standards, teaching materials and students around the setting of students' English learning objectives, content integration and teaching implementation, take root in practice, carry out teaching research, and constantly improve the quality of curriculum education, which reflects the wisdom of running a school, developing and teaching. This project builds a platform for the development of school teachers, improves teachers' teaching research ability, curriculum comprehension and curriculum design, implementation and evaluation ability, and promotes the development of teachers' professional quality. Through joint research and discussion, Chinese and foreign teachers have reached a consensus on the development of schools, generated empathy and formed a learning and research community.

七、未来展望

全力校长做了未来展望。他表示虽然项目结束,但是我们的研究还将继续。Education is not a profession. It is a passion. 教育不是职业,是事业。我们将继续围绕学生英语学习,加强小初合作和中外合作,立足课程,聚焦课堂,完善项目研究成果,凝心聚力,以达到提升学生核心素养发展与教师专业素养提升的目的,进一步提升学校的办学品质。

Principal Paul Quan made a future prospecting speech. He said that although the project is over, our research will continue. Education is not a professor. It is a passion. Education is not a profession. It is a passion. We will continue to focus on students' English learning, strengthen primary school cooperation and Sino-foreign cooperation, base ourselves on the curriculum, focus on the classroom, improve the research results of the project, and concentrate on it, so as to achieve the goal of improving students' core literacy development and teachers' professional literacy, and further improve the quality of running schools.
