9月，又是一个新学年的开始，融合学子们即将回归校园，开启一段新的旅程。而在此之前，为了以最好的状态迎接新学期的到来，早已有一群人，提前来到校园，开始充电蓄能。

在协和教科融合课程部联合副校长Adam Flower先生和奚恺菁女士的带领下，全体教师开启了关于教育教学理念、教师职业发展、测试与评价、教学经验分享、学生管理系统、线上教学平台等各个方面的高强度培训。

For a perfect start for the new school year, SUIS JKEMW took action last a few weeks. The teachers are coming back, and busy participating in-school training.

Together with the Co-Vice Principals, Mr. Adam Flower and Ms. Cindy Xi, the EMW faculty had the trainings covered different aspects of teaching philosophy, performance management & professional growth, assessment & reporting, teaching & learning practice share, HUBmis system， Moodle and Smart Board.

Part 01

教育理念及政策学习

LEARN ABOUT POLICIES

新学期培训从了解和回顾开始。Flower校长和奚校长向大家介绍了协和集团的办学理念、课程体系和教职工团队，强调今天的教育是为了培养能够“面向未来”的人才。在希望全体新老教师能尽快适应学校的教育教学工作的同时，学校管理团队会始终秉持“诚信、真诚、信任、勇气和同理心”的领导方式，不断鼓励和关怀团队中的每一位成员。

两位副校长还带领大家共同学习了未成年人学校保护规定，更深入了解了义务教育阶段的相关要求和内容，同时还一起探讨了如何在新形势下进一步整合和发展中西方教育的各自优势，“五育并举”推动对于学生的过程性评价，以未来为导向，培养拥有健全的品格和国际视野的未来型人才。

SHARE&LEARN

The training sessions started with learning about the EMW stream. Mr. Adam flower and Ms. Cindy Xi introduced the school running concept of XIEHE, curriculum system and faculty team and pointed out education today is to help the students grow into people who are able to face the future. And on the behalf of the school leadership team, they promised the school will always adhere to the leadership mode of "Integrity,  Genuineness, Trust, Courage, and Empathy", and constantly support and care for every member of the EMW community.

Together with Mr. Flower and Ms. Xi, all teachers learned about Provisions on School Protection for Minors and Chinese Party Policies in Education. They also discussed about how to integrate the practical experience and high-quality resources of the two different educational fields and how to promote students’ process evaluation via ‘Developing Five Education Simultaneously’ so as to help EMW students grow into people with sound personality and international vision.

Part 02

部门培训，规范教学

DEPARTMENT TRAINING

校长助理李舒女士向大家介绍了课程部的教师绩效评估系统。该系统旨在为教师提供有意义的评估，确保教师根据EMW课程部卓越的标准和理念来进行教学，同时鼓励教师不断地进行专业学习和发展。

The Performance Management and Professional Growth System was introduced by Ms. Elise Lee, Assistant Principal of SUIS JKEMW, which provides teachers with meaningful appraisals in order to ensure that the EMW curriculum is being taught according to the philosophy of excellent Standards and Practices as well as encourage continual professional learning and development.

教学处主任Zahid Iqbal先生从“考试及评价”、以及“教学和评分的学术严谨性”等方面，和全体教师开展了一场关于“教与学”的探索。

Mr. Zahid Iqbal, Dean of Academics, introduced Assessment & Reporting to all teachers and emphasized the importance of academic rigor.

中文教研组组长周梅娟老师通过一堂诗歌赏析课，生动地展示了中文组的教学理念和丰富的教学实践经验，让全体教师动态地体验了EMW课程部的中文教学如何通过堂课教学、主题研究、活动浸润等多样的形式，在深化学生对中国传统历史文化、价值观念的理解的同时，培养他们的创造力和思辨力。

Through a poetry appreciation lesson, Ms. May Zhou, Head of Chinese, vividly demonstrated the teaching concept and teaching practices of Chinese Department. All teachers experienced how Chinese teachers help students understand Chinese traditional history and culture and cultivate their creativity and critical thinking through various class activities.

体育教研组组长Mr. Phil Vandersleyen向大家展示了融合学子对于运动的热爱，并呼吁每一位教师在新的学年都能参与进来，组织和带领融合学子接触并体验更多的运动项目，同时也让他们感受到全体老师永远是他们最坚强的后盾和支持者。

Through the presentation of Mr. Phil Vandersleyen, Head of PE, we are glad to see EMW students have never been so eager to play sport, and participation has skyrocketed. Mr. V also called on teachers to participate more into organizing student sports activities to show our students we will always be there to support them and cheer for them.

Part 03

经验分享 共促成长

BEST LEARNING&PRACTICE SHARE

在融合课程部，我们重视鼓励和激发学生的内在驱动力，我们认为提出一个问题往往比解决一个问题更为重要。因此，如何帮助学生成为主动学习者，依然是成为本次培训的重要话题之一。老师们毫不吝啬地将自己的成功案例和经验进行共享，以智慧为引领，优质共享，携手进步。

围绕这一主题，历史教研组长Mr. Luc Spettel，科学老师Mr. Keith Williams以及历史老师Mr. Matthew Worley和大家分享了他们在教学过程中的所思所想。在此过程中，所有老师都积极参与进来，就各种课堂教学策略进行讨论，分别从教师和学生的角度分析和探讨了如何在课堂中有效地、有针对性地进行课堂活动的实施，从而鼓励学生主动地参与到学习中，成为学习的主人。 

Practice Share

At EMW, we strive to encourage and stimulate students' internal driving force. We believe that raising a problem is more important than solving a problem. Therefore, how to help students become active learners is still one of the important topics of this training.

Around this topic, Mr. Luc Spettel, Head of History, Mr. Keith Williams, Science teacher and Mr. Matthew Worley, History teacher, shared their ideas and experience in classroom teaching. During the sessions, all teachers actively participated, discussed various classroom teaching strategies, and talked about how to motivate our students and help them take more of an interest in their Learning.
